This program is offered at no cost. Registration is necessary to provide the necessary materials for participants as well as determine room & seating set up arrangements and food.

Youth Registration

Witness Stones Wilton is primarily for youth in grades 5-9. All high school students are also invited to participate. Youth should be committed to attending all 3 sessions as each builds on the previous session. Experiential activities will be presented that will lead to each youth or small group to creating a “picture” of the person who we will memorialize through story, song, video, artwork, poetry, drama, or any means desired. The creation of these stories will be completed during 3 additional sessions with local adult leaders. Youth can register for the program using this Registration Form.

Adult Registration

Any adult in the Wilton, Norwalk, and Westport area are welcome to attend the first session in which staff from the Witness Stones Project will present the history of slavery in New England as well as what our project is all about. We do ask that all adults participate as observers, allowing the youth to engage with the presentation as it is geared to them, with each subsequent session building on this foundational session. There will be time for Q & A from the audience during the evening. Adults may register via Eventbrite.

Each session will offer a light supper (Wednesday Sessions 1-3) or snacks. Parents and adults from our sponsoring communities are asked to contribute as they are able: sandwiches, wraps, soup, salad, chips, cookies, beverages, etc. You may sign up for a particular date and item through this Sign-Up Genius form. COMING SOON.

Understanding that participants are coming from a variety of locations, some may wish to carpool with friends and neighbors. We will do our best to help connect those who live in close proximity to one another. If you are interested in participating in a carpool, please sign up on this Carpool Form. COMING SOON.
